I frequently meet people who experience deep suffering with their emotional and psychological difficulties.
These concerns often emanate from painful childhood experiences or are the consequence of a more recent trauma.
Within the counselling and psychotherapeutic relationship you will be regarded with genuine respect in a confidential and professional manner.
As your therapist I will offer a safe space in which you will be heard with understanding and support. I want to develop an empathic, warm and genuine therapeutic relationship with you. It is from the foundation of this relationship that you can make progress as you learn more about yourself and the detrimental effect your suffering has had on your health and well being. It is from this place of deeper understanding that you can gain in confidence and consider making changes which will assist your healing toward a healthier life which offers the possibility of fulfilment rather than prolonged distress.
Throughout the period of therapy I would draw on my many years of experience and training as a health professional and psychotherapist using different approaches and skills in my appreciation of your particular concerns.
